Transfer on Canvas

I've been wanting to do something different with our wedding pictures and so I gave the transfer on canvas a try and loved it !!! This is my first one so I have some little bugs to work out for the next one but it's as if you can't really go wrong.  I love the distressed image on canvas and I know I'm going to love it even more on wood ~ would love to hear your experiences with transfers if you have done them~

Cover your canvas with Mod Podge or another gel medium lay and press on your picture~Make sure it is pressed on good and all bubbles are out and let dry over night.

Next morning with wet finger and sponge softly rubbed off the paper.... It takes awhile and you can over rub!!
definitely a fun and simple project and with a little practice you can master the technique

You can rub if you want a more distress look ~My thought and experiment on the next one is I would like to paint the canvas first not sure what color something faded let dry for a week and then do a transfer...
You can research this on you tube for a full tutorial~

  1. I just love your style!!!!!! I will watch to see the final outcome! BTW, the cuff that you did in Jewelry Affaire has inspired me. Thoughts are running in my head for my own design. Loved your pieces In Belle Armoire!
